She is young. She looks out ahead and wonders what is in store for her.
Pausing for a moment to consider the possibilities, she takes a deep
breath and greets her future.
Using contrast in an image can be very effective to speak about the subject. Here, the towering trees show by contrast how small and young this little fawn is. Juxtaposing small and large, young and old, is a wonderful way to present your story in your photo. Choosing black and white instead of colour can also point to the contrasts found in the image.

Steel's Tears
Even the strong shed tears.
In this macro photo, I've selected a depth of field to draw attention to a single tear. Though singular on the link, we see there are more drops on the links previous and following. Bokeh shows us this is so in a gentle haze of light and form.
Forgetting the sorrows of the past in a way that softens their sting while keeping their wisdom...reaching towards the future without knowing what sorrows or joys may still come...this is how I want to live my life. Trusting that future's sorrows (or today's) will not break me but rather make me stronger is how I choose to live my life.
The strength that has no beginning and no end is not my own by origin but rather mine by grace.

Oh the Places You'll Go...
My baby girl graduated this week. True to her character, she finished school the way she does life, intensely and fully. Jess is beautiful inside and out. I am proud of her for finishing well and believe she will continue on well. Oh the places you'll go...
