Light

There is a magical place in the garden and that is where the light is found. 

I might be getting into a rut where lens choice is concerned. Again, I used my 60 mm macro lens this morning when I went out to see what I could see. I wandered to the gardens and saw the light dance where the vine climbed. Finding that sweet spot is where its at with photography.

Once on my computer, I added a layer to soften this image, and then I was done.

Scarlet's Spread

Winter is coming and she grows tired. No longer able to reach high, she spreads across the rough boards with a sigh. The snow would blanket her soon and she'd find her rest.

Harvest

Having survived the scorching summer and meager rains, these Concord grapes are just about ready for harvest. Through the years I've learned that it is best to wait until after the first good frost to pick them. The result is a sweeter grape. A bonus to waiting for that first cold night to pass is a lot of the wasps succumb to the frost, making it safer to stick your hands in the vine!
