Fun Foto Fact

I do not think I am cut out to be a commissioned photographic artist. At great risk of nauseating you all, I will say the thing that must be said: I must be inspired. If you ask me to take a picture of this or that, I likely will not. In the case that you convince me, you will most certainly be disappointed with the image I hand over to you. I will have given it my best effort, to be sure, but if I am not inspired, the photography is simply not good. Now if great grace and latitude are extended in the commission, it may very well be an entirely different matter. I might just do it and may even do it well.

Now if you'll excuse me, I might be sick myself.

Fun Foto Fact

When I cover an event as a photographer, it often feels as though I've missed the event. I'm so focused on the shots that I miss listening to the speeches or watching the performances and instead capture expressions and body language with my lens. Now that I think about it, I wonder who sees more?
