Morning Reflection
After my morning coffee and reading, I noticed the light and reflection on my dining table. I grabbed my camera and took a bunch of pictures. Initially, what caught my eye was the golden hue of the sun on the paper's edges. I shot accordingly but when I loaded the files onto my computer, I thought twice and instead chose to process this as a black and white image. The textures and lines are accentuated when the colour is pulled.

Excellent job of making something ordinary look extraordinary!
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous work. How do you keep the quality when it's sized down for craftgawker? My images tend to get pixelated or blurry. Truly great work.
ReplyDeleteThank you both!
ReplyDeleteI really don't know the magic formula for craftgawker. Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't. Wish I could bottle it when it does!
Love this image Carla. Well done!

Really great shot! Love me some texture! It would be great on the wall to stand as a reminder to study your scriptures or to ponder what you read.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like your black & whites. I have been struggling for a bit with my own photos as what I see in my head is never the same in my final photos. :/ I have to keep playing I guess.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The best advice I every received was to go out and shoot and shoot some more. You can learn your technical just about anywhere but really figuring out how to show what you see in your mind with your camera just takes practice. You can do this!
