Tired and withered. Bare and parched.
Until now.
New life is born.
I used my 60 mm macro lens to get deep into the grapevine where the new life was hiding. Using the lattice work, the vine and the brick lines I framed this young leaf just a little off centre. She is angled slightly, creating some depth and interest with the blurred side of the leaf.
Thinking as an amateur photographer, I note what you said about the leaf being just off center. The Rule of Thirds isn't always the rule! Your composition is so appealing.
ReplyDeleteReflecting in a different way, it is refreshing to see soft, healthy life growing from the mortar and weathered lumber.
